BEACON® Stabilization System

October 12, 2013 By SPINEMarketGroup

The BEACON® Stabilization System is a comprehensive posted screw system used in the treatment of trauma, tumor and degeneration in the thoracic and lumbar spine. The ability to medialize the rod allows for ideal placement of bone graft in posterolateral fusions. Pre-assembled clamps and connectors compensate for various screw angles with minimal rod bending. The system includes both 5.5mm and 6.35mm rods to accommodate various patient anatomies.

Benefits:

  • Versatility in implant placement: Clamps offer up to 5mm of medial-lateral adjustability and ±25° of polyaxial rod angulation. Medial-locking connectors provide 360° of rotation, sagittal adjustment and allows tightening of the construct medial to the screws
  • Low profile: Clamps and medial-lateral connectors offer dorsal adjustment of the screw for a low profile construct
  • Simplifies surgery: Eliminates in situ assembly with medial-locking connectors, preassembled clamps and an integrated set screw
