The Velocity® L Expandable Interbody Device is a composite, expandable implant that is designed for ease of insertion, optimal implant to patient fit, maximized indirect decompression, and maximum bone grafting. The Velocity® L Expandable Interbody Device is intended to be introduced to the disc space via the lateral approach.
Mitigate subsidence through:
- Minimized insertion height and required impaction force
- Optimal implant fit
Attributes of Velocity® L Expandable Interbody Device System:
- Low profile 8mm starting height
- Nested lordotic endplates for parallel insertion profile
- Controlled, in situ distraction in 1mm increments
- Plasma Spray Titanium Surface Coating
- Integrated bone grafting solution for post expansion grafting
- Continuous central graft chamber
About Expandable Cages
Expandable interbody cages allow surgeons to go through a small corridor and change the geometry of the cage to correspond to what the patient’s spine requires. These implants may help protect a patient’s nerve roots and other structures in the area near the cage or along the corridor through which they are implanted. Sometimes can be implanted with a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
