The TiLock² Spinal System is made up of implants for both open and minimally invasive procedures. The system is comprised of pedicle screws, reduction screws, MIS screws, cross-links, hooks, offset connectors, and rod-to-rod connectors with additional products in the pipeline.
Features:
- Hooks –Transverse, Supralaminar, Pedicle, Sublaminar and Infalaminar hooks are available.
- Pedicle Screws – The TiLock² Screws are available in standard and cannulated polyaxial screws and standard monoaxial screws. The TiLock² Screws allow the placement of either 5.5mm titanium alloy or 5.5mm cobalt chromium rods.
- Rod-to-Rod Connectors – designed to provide medial-lateral variability for the TiLock² Spinal System and for revision applications. The Connector system features axial and transverse rod-to-rod connectors thus reducing the need to remove existing constructs in the event of construct extension surgery.
- MIS Pedicle Screws – TiLock XT Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Pedicle Screws are polyaxial cannulated screws available in various lengths and diameters. Features a robust 120mm one-piece breakaway tower.
- Offset Connectors – designed to provide medial-lateral variability for the TiLock² Spinal System and for revision applications.
- Unique Thread Design: Double-lead thread and an efficient thread pitch promote rapid screw insertion and pull-out resistance, resulting in a more stable construct.
- Cross-Links – The intuitive design features a dual locking mechanism combined with a direct upward locking motion to ensure the implant will not travel along the rod during tightening.
- Rods – 5.5mm titanium alloy or 5.5mm cobalt chromium rods are available.
About Spinal Deformity
Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine that can occur in any age group. Scoliosis is a coronal plane (i.e. side to side) deformity occurring in children, adolescents, and adults. Symptoms vary with age of onset and severity of the curvature; cosmetic problems including sitting imbalance, breathing difficulty or delayed development is common findings in infants and young children. A rib hump, pelvic or shoulder height imbalance tend to common in the adolescent group. Intractable back pain, sciatica, leg weakness or numbness and gait difficulty are common reasons for surgical correction in adults.
Kyphosis is seen when a person’s spinal balance has moved too far forward to allow the spine to effectively carry the body weight without progressive deformity, pain or neurologic loss of function. Patients typically walk in a forward flexed posture being unable to stand up straight. This condition can also occur along with scoliosis causing Kyphoscoliosis.
About Genesys Spine
Founded in December of 2009, Genesys Spine’s mission was to bring a suite of medical implants and instruments with novel characteristics into a mature spinal fusion market. Since that time, Genesys has released four new FDA cleared product lines with several other products in various stages of the design and development cycle. Genesys has also developed several proprietary instruments to aid in the use of its products. http://www.genesysspine.com
