May 12, 2015 By SPINEMarketGroup

Sniper Spine System is a minimally invasive pedicle screw system designed to treat degeneration, tumor, or trauma of the thoracolumbar spine.

  • Sniper VIDEO ANIMATION

Benefits:

  • Single-Step Controlled Reduction
  • Rod Reduction is achieved simply by placing the Persuader over the top of the Screw Extension and single-handedly pressing the lever. This single step process enables 30mm of reduction in 2mm increments.
  • Precise Rod Placement
  • The variable-angled Rod Introducer allows the rod to be inserted at 0°, 45°, or 90°. Depending on the approach, the angle of the rod can be changed in situ to facilitate rod seating.
  • Secure Extension Engagement
  • The Screw Extension seats against the outside of the Sniper® screw while the inner tube is rotated 90° to engage with the inner slot of the screw, resulting in four points of connection designed to prevent disengagement during the procedure.
 Features:
  • Single-step controlled reduction with the Persuader
  • Precise rod placement achieved with the variable-angled Rod Introducer
  • Four points of connection between the Sniper® screw and Screw Extension result in secure extension engagement
  • Ball and socket screw design allows maximum polyaxial angulation
  • Accelerated screw insertion with double-lead thread
  • Flexible Nitinol guide wire
  • Secure locking screw engagement

About MIS

The trend in spine surgery for many procedures has been moving toward minimally invasive approaches. These include spine surgery for lumbar fusion, deformity surgery, cervical surgery and sacroiliac joint fusion. The benefits of minimally invasive spine surgery (MIS) include decreased pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery. However, there is a difficult learning curve for surgeons when mastering MIS procedures. Increasing familiarity with MIS techniques creates more options for surgeons treating spine conditions with the potential to decrease surgical complications. The goal of this conference is to update neurological and orthopedic surgeons, as well as allied health professionals on the latest advances in MIS surgical techniques.
