The Laminoplasty Fixation System consists of components: Cervical Plates and Cortical Screws, whose main function is to enable the fixation of bone graft material and maintain spinal cord decompression after laminoplasty surgery of the lower cervical and upper thoracic (C3-T3) region of the vertebral column. The Cortical Screws that make up the Laminoplasty Fixation System are implantable, metallic medical devices with a spherical head, a star drive (hexalobe) connection, and a body with an asymmetrical cortical thread. They are intended for use in conjunction with the Cervical Plates for fixation to the bone tissue of the vertebrae in the lower cervical and upper thoracic (C3-T3) region during laminoplasty procedures. The Cervical Plates that make up the Laminoplasty Fixation System are implantable, metallic medical devices with an anatomical profile and a body with round and/or oblong holes for housing the cortical screws. The finish of the medical devices belonging to the Laminoplasty Fixation System is satin, and the treatment is performed through electrocoloring in graphite color.

The indication and purpose of using the Laminoplasty Fixation System is for cases of fixation of bone graft material and maintenance of spinal cord decompression in laminoplasty surgical procedures of the lower cervical and upper thoracic (C3-T3) region of the spine, according to the surgeon’s evaluation criteria.
