Rhausler, Inc. Responds to Aesculap Decision to Leave US Cervical Spine Implant Market

November 1, 2024 By SPINEMarketGroup

Fremont, CA, September 13, 2024 / — On their US website, Aesculap Implant Systems announced they will cease sales of cervical spine implant products on September 30, 2024. Rhausler, a medical device technology company that provides cervical spine implants, is publicizing the continued availability of a replacement for the Aesculap ABC Cervical Plate.

The Rhausler Dynamic Plate System offers surgeons the same dynamic features as the ABC plate with improvement in the overall design, including thinner plate thickness. According to Fred H. Geisler, MD, PhD, founder and CEO of Rhausler Spine, “Because of the biomechanical similarities of its dynamic mechanism the Rhausler plate has been a competitor to the Aesculap ABC cervical implant plate for years. Now Rhausler offers to provide former ABC Plate surgeons the opportunity to seamlessly continue their use of fully dynamic cervical implants in their ACDF surgery. Rhausler can provide a similar but superior plate design to the ABC plate at a competitive price.”

If you are a spine surgeon or distributor looking for an alternative cervical plate mechanically equivalent to the ABC Plate, you should view the Rhausler implants on the Rhausler website at https://www.rhausler.com and contact the Rhausler office for a demonstration. Rhausler is committed to work with ABC Plate surgeons and distributors to facilitate their smooth transition to implementing the Rhausler Dynamic Plate System in their practices and businesses.
