The result was the launch of the lumbar and cervical Artificial Discs and the promotion of the Pedicle Screw Dynamic Stabilization Devices without clear indications. At that time was the appearance of the Dynesis system from Zimmer, the Semirigid rods from Scient´X or other devices as Accuflex or the Peek Rods. It is true, that the FDA did not help to make these devices popular by unapproving them and as a consequence, closing the US market. But the truth is that internationally the Pedicle Screw Dynamic Stabilization Devices usage has decreased critically.
