PCB Evolution

April 18, 2014 By SPINEMarketGroup

PCB Evolution

The PCB Evolution implant is available in different sizes allowing a perfect adaptation to the patient’s anatomical curvature. Its anatomically designed shape fi ts perfectly the intervertebral space while minimizing stress upon fixation screws.

The PCB Evolution helps to restore the disc height and maintains correct spine static. This one piece-implant makes the placement easier and thereby reduces operative time. Scient’x has designed a 2-in-1 system combining a titanium plate and a PEEK cage. The PCB Evolution allows disc height restoration by an anterior fi xation and the radiotransparent cage permits a perfect visualization of cervical interbody fusion. Its unique stabilization plate prevents any possibility of posterior impaction or anterior ejection of the cage.

The PCB Evolution plate-cage is mainly used for the surgical treatment of :

• cervical hard and soft disc herniations
• cervical degenerative pathologies on one or several levels
• instabilities resulting in degenerative disc disease
• corrections of spine statics disorders

This implant can be implanted from C2 to C7.

The benefits of the PCB plate-cage concept enhanced

– Stability : the cage shape preserves the anatomy of the intervertebral space
– Security : the stabilization plate prevents the pull-out of the cage
– Simplicity : the integrated plate-cage allows an easy positioning of the implant
– Peek-cage : the PEEK material allow adequate elasticity and fusion follow-up
