The MONT BLANC 3D+ spinal system is a comprehensive instrumentation set for the correction of idiopathic scoliosis using montblanc implants.
The MONT BLANC 3D + instrumentation allows a direct and global correction of idiopathic scoliosis using the technique called vertebral coplanar alignment. The MONT BLANC 3D+ system was designed in collaboration with Dr. José Maruenda Paulino (Valencia University Hospital, SPAIN).
On the basis of his work on vertebral coplanar alignment techniques, Spineway has developed a new instrument set for:
• Reducing the deformity from the convex side and then correcting from the concave side.
• Using monoaxial pedicle screws on the convex side and polyaxial pedicle screws on the concave side.
The mobility of the polyaxial pedicle screw head compensates for the asymmetry of the pedicle and the asymmetry between the convex and concave sides during correction.

About Spine Innovations
Spine Innovations is the manufacturer of the ESP disc protheses. The ESP disc prothesis is the result of 10 years of collaborative research work at the HôpitalPitié Salpêtrière in Paris, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the UniversitéParis VI, and was driven by the Oséo Innovation contest in France.
Unlike traditional articulated prostheses composed of moving metal parts, ESP prostheses use a viscoelastic core designed to replicate the biomechanical behavior of a healthy intervertebral disc.
This technology is specifically designed to:
- preserve mobility in the operated segment;
- replicate the six physiological degrees of freedom;
- provide shock absorption similar to that of a natural disc.
