Epiduro™: AI-Driven Flexible Robotics Enabling Next-Generation Epidural Procedures

November 20, 2025 By SPINEMarketGroup

In recent years, we have seen many changes in the spinal implant market, including the wide range of technology now available for spine surgery. We are, of course, referring to navigation systems, robots, augmented-reality glasses, and advanced imaging technologies that undoubtedly make spine surgery both safer and more efficient.

One example is Epiduro™, a new robotic platform from Robotron Surgical Technologies designed for minimally invasive access and treatment inside the epidural space. The system uses flexible robotics, AI-based navigation, and 3D anatomical modeling to operate in this delicate area through the sacral hiatus.

Development is progressing toward more realistic simulations before preclinical testing. Unlike traditional spine robots focused on screw placement, Epiduro™ aims to enable new procedures such as targeted drug delivery, neuromodulation, and diagnostic endoscopy.

EpiduroTM Endorobotic Platform

Robotron Surgical is advancing endoscopy with the EpiduroTM system — the first AI-driven endorobotic platform that combines flexible robotics, integrated imaging, and real-time anatomical recognition. EpiduroTM enables surgeons to navigate the spine and neuro axis with unparalleled control, enhancing safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
