BDyn Posterior Dynamic Stabilization System Earns MDR Certification!

October 10, 2025 By SPINEMarketGroup

Cousin Surgery is proud to announce a major milestone: BDyn Posterior Dynamic Stabilization System has officially received MDR (Medical Device Regulation – EU 2017/745) certification!

This achievement marks an important step forward in our ongoing commitment to the highest European standards of safety, quality, and performance for medical devices.

Raising the bar for quality and reliability

The MDR certification process is known for its rigor, assessing every aspect of a product’s design, clinical performance, and manufacturing standards.
For Cousin Surgery, it means:

  • A strong validation of BDyn’s quality and clinical effectiveness.
  • Greater confidence in its reliability and long-term performance for both surgeons and patients.
  • Recognition of our excellence in engineering and manufacturing.
  • A key milestone for BDyn’s expansion across the European market.

The BDyn Posterior Dynamic Stabilization System is designed to help preserve spinal motion after surgery — offering a modern, dynamic alternative to traditional rigid fusion systems.

Beyond the standard one-level motion preservation device, BDyn also comes in two hybrid versions, each featuring a longer fusion rod. These configurations allow surgeons to combine up to four levels of fusion with motion preservation at the adjacent segment, providing greater versatility and patient-specific adaptability in surgical planning.

A shared success

This certification is the result of the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved — from our R&D and quality teams to our clinical partners and collaborators. Together, we’ve achieved a milestone that reflects the spirit of innovation and excellence at the heart of Cousin Surgery.

With MDR certification secured, Cousin Surgery is more committed than ever to driving innovation in spine surgery and delivering cutting-edge, patient-centered solutions worldwide.
