Cytogen and Mantiz Sign Strategic Distribution Partnership to Expand Spine Implant Portfolio

January 28, 2026 By SPINEMarketGroup

Cytogen, a precision medical bio company, and Mantiz, a spinal implant manufacturing company, have signed a domestic distribution agreement covering Mantiz’ full spinal implant portfolio. The agreement was signed on the 27th and formalizes a mid- to long-term strategic partnership between the two companies.

The contract goes beyond a traditional product-specific distribution arrangement. Rather than focusing on a single technology or implant, the partnership establishes a framework for jointly expanding a portfolio of spinal implants and biomedical devices, including next-generation patient-specific solutions based on 3D printing technologies. Under the agreement, Cytogen will also build a domestic distribution system for all existing spinal implants developed by Mantiz.

Mantiz has already demonstrated technological reliability and clinical stability at major university hospitals and specialized spine centers across Korea. Its portfolio includes the vertebral screw system QUATTRO, the 3D printing-based implant PANTER-S, and the patient-customized 3D CAGE CUSFIT, positioning the company as a first mover in the application of additive manufacturing and customization in spinal implants.

Through this partnership, Cytogen will take responsibility for domestic sales and distribution of Mantiz’ flagship spinal implant products. Over time, the scope of collaboration will expand to include Mantiz’ broader biomedical device portfolio, such as wound covering materials, surgical films, absorbent hemostatic agents, and next-generation customized 3D spinal implants. Cytogen expects this strategy to provide a stable revenue base while enabling expansion into higher value-added regenerative and precision medical businesses, strengthening its long-term growth engine.

“This agreement represents a strategic choice aimed at building a stable profit structure and securing early leadership in the next-generation medical device market, rather than functioning as a simple distribution agency,” said Lee Hoon-sung, Head of Cytogen’s M&A Business Division. “By combining Cytogen’s execution capabilities in sales and distribution with Mantiz’ proven technology, we aim to deliver both tangible clinical value and sustainable business outcomes in spinal treatment. In the mid to long term, we plan to expand across regenerative and biomedical devices to complete a precision medical-based bio portfolio.”

Kim Eui-joon, CEO of Mantiz, described the partnership as a key inflection point for the company. “Our collaboration with Cytogen is a strategic turning point that enables us to expand the next-generation customized implant market while maintaining stable growth in the existing spinal implant segment,” he said. “We also plan to gradually extend our influence from the domestic market to global markets.”

Through this agreement, Cytogen and Mantiz is aim to reinforce their competitive position in the spinal implant market, strengthen their presence in next-generation customized solutions, and broaden cooperation across regenerative and biomedical device sectors, pursuing a long-term growth roadmap as a precision medical-based bio platform.
