Stryker announced the addition of two new products recently acquired from 4WEB Medical

September 13, 2024 By SPINEMarketGroup

Stryker (NYSE: SYK), a global leader in medical technology, has announced the expansion of its Foot & Ankle portfolio with the addition of two new products – the Osteotomy Truss System™ (OTS) and the Ankle Truss System™ (ATS). These products were recently acquired from 4WEB Medical. Stryker will showcase the OTS and ATS, along with the newly acquired Artelon portfolio and other offerings, at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada, from September 11-14, 2024.

The new Ankle Truss System (ATS), featuring Arthrosphere® and Arthrocube™ implants, is a cutting-edge solution designed to restore limb length and maintain structural integrity during tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) fusions. ATS implants incorporate Truss Implant Technology™, which features an open architecture to support structural stability and enhance fusion. The system is approved for use with Stryker’s T2 Ankle Arthrodesis Nail or Valor Hindfoot Fusion Nail and comes in three distinct shapes, allowing for quicker scheduling of ankle fusion surgeries for patients in urgent need. Meanwhile, the Osteotomy Truss System (OTS) includes Cotton, Evans, and Utility wedges, providing a comprehensive solution for surgeons’ osteotomy needs. It is designed for internal bone fixation and osteotomies in the foot and ankle and is already available for use. The ATS will debut at the AOFAS meeting and will be available to the market in the coming months.

“The launch of the ATS and the integration of Artelon demonstrate our ongoing commitment to offering advanced orthopedic solutions that help surgeons deliver optimal patient outcomes,” said Michael Rankin, Vice President of Marketing and Medical Education for Stryker’s Foot & Ankle division. “We remain dedicated to enhancing our product portfolio to address the evolving needs of foot and ankle procedures. We’re excited to present our expanded offerings at the AOFAS conference.”

At AOFAS booth #601, Stryker will also be introducing other key innovations, including the Artelon Flexband, a next-generation biomaterial designed to restore strength and elasticity to healing soft tissues. Additionally, Stryker will celebrate a decade of success with the Infinity Total Ankle System, a market leader in low-profile implants, boasting a 98.8% survivorship rate at two years and a 95.9% survivorship rate at seven years. This system provides reliable, anatomically contoured components for maintaining joint function and mobility in total ankle replacements.
