3D printing with the material titanium, enables the production of innovative products.However, this form of production often leaves behind residues and thus contamination in the form of loose or semi-molten powder particles.These impurities are undesirable and must be removed in a process-safe manner to achieve a high-quality product.
For the removal of these residues, Hegedüs has developed a special refinement process – “Titanium acid etching”.
Furthermore, this process can be used to individually optimize the surface structure (surface roughness) and brightness of products.
