Columbia, MD — May 8, 2018 — LinkSPINE, a medical device company focused on the development of less invasive techniques for spine surgery, has named David Capallo Vice President of Sales. Capallo joins LinkSPINE from NuVasive, where he worked since 2006 and most recently served as Director, Commercial Strategy. Prior to this, he held positions in Sales and Sales Management for NuVasive in the Southeastern United States.
“We are excited to welcome David Capallo to the LinkSPINE team to lead our Sales efforts,” said LinkSPINE President and CEO, Dennis Farrell. “Dave’s deep leadership experience in spine and familiarity with novel technologies, particularly his deep understanding of less invasive midline techniques, will be vital to LinkSPINE’s transition from an R&D focused company to one with a commercial presence.”
Farrell added LinkSPINE remains committed to developing innovative solutions which reduce surgical morbidity and are designed for placement with minimal fluoroscopic guidance and shorter learning curves than traditional tubular MIS techniques; Capallo is ideally suited to bring those solutions to the surgical community. ‘Midline Choice’ is LinkSPINE’s comprehensive midline fusion portfolio, which includes CorticaLINK and FacetLINK. A single kit houses a complete array of screws and devices, offering the surgeon the ability to intra-operatively create a less invasive fusion construct based upon each patient. “I am very excited to join the LinkSPINE family as we transition to a commercial presence in the U.S.”, said Capallo.
“The Midline Choice portfolio of products is aimed at simplifying MIS spine surgery while delivering clinical and economic value to physicians and hospitals. As care continues a transition to the Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Center setting, simple, reproducible, and efficient midline surgical techniques will become more important, and the LinkSPINE products are designed specifically for this space.”
Capallo and LinkSPINE will be exhibiting at the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine in Banff, Canada May 14-16 and at the Becker’s 16th Annual Future of Spine ASC Conference in Chicago, IL June 14-16. ###
