Medical devices firm DePuy is to create 38 new jobs as part of an expansion of its facility in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.The company, which is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, said it had already begun hiring for the positions and is primarily looking for candidates at masters and PhD level.The jobs are being created as part of an $36 million investment, which will fund a new research and
development programme focusing on areas including new materials development.DePuy Synthes Companies specialises in orthopaedic, spinal and neuroscience devices such as replacement joints.
It is one of a number of companies in Ireland that is owned by Johnson & Johnson, which employs around 1,900 people here.
