(NYSE American: XTNT), a global medical technology company focused on surgical solutions for the treatment of spinal disorders, announced today the appointment of Ronald Berlin as Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, effective January 1, 2019. Mr. Berlin will report to Michael Mainelli, Xtant’s Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Ron Berlin brings over 35 years of operations experience to Xtant. Most recently, Mr. Berlin served as Vice President of Global Operations for CoorsTek Medical. Prior to that role, he held positions of Vice President, Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement and Vice President, Operations for Integra LifeSciences. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Global Operations at Stryker Orthopaedics, which was at the time a division of Stryker Corporation. He is well versed in all aspects of medical device and tissue processing operations and quality assurance. He has a proven track record for improving compliance and quality, cost effectiveness, asset utilization, and continuous improvement programs based on Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Implementation, as well as managing the implementation of M&A programs.
