(UPDATED 2022): +20 Expandable Lateral Cages to Know!

December 11, 2022 By SPINEMarketGroup

Since Nuvasive launched the  XLIF procedure several years ago, this market segment has been growing. Today, most spinal companies have a lateral cage system in their portfolio. Technology and new materials have made it possible to develop more and more sophisticated implants that allow safer implantation and with less damage to the patient. The expandable technology has recently allowed implants to reduce endplate disruption, nerve root retraction, and impaction forces. In addition, they also allow to restore the lordosis and therefore the sagittal balance and foraminal height.

The leader in expandable technology is Globus medical in a market segment of approximately $400 million.

We have included more than 20 Expandable Lateral Cages in our Section: https://thespinemarketgroup.com/category/expandable-cages/lateral-and-anterior-expandable-cages/
