May 9, 2015 By SPINEMarketGroup

Threshold Pedicular Fixation System offers a robust, yet simple, method of delivering anatomy-conserving pedicular fixation.

Features:

Secure implant-to-instrumentation connections
  • The screw extensions grip the inside and outside surfaces of the screw head.  This encapsulation ensures the extension cannot splay off of the screw head as the rod is reduced into position.
 Powerful reduction capabilities
  • The system includes reduction capability instruments with multi-start threaded actions and a 32mm reduction capability for quick, powerful rod reduction.
 Advanced articulating rod placement
  • The system includes standard as well as articulating rod delivery methods.  Articulating rod delivery is unique in that it can deliver rods for short constructs sub-fascially in a deep exposure, reducing the potential for muscle entrapment.

About MIS

The trend in spine surgery for many procedures has been moving toward minimally invasive approaches. These include spine surgery for lumbar fusion, deformity surgery, cervical surgery and sacroiliac joint fusion. The benefits of minimally invasive spine surgery (MIS) include decreased pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery. However, there is a difficult learning curve for surgeons when mastering MIS procedures. Increasing familiarity with MIS techniques creates more options for surgeons treating spine conditions with the potential to decrease surgical complications. The goal of this conference is to update neurological and orthopedic surgeons, as well as allied health professionals on the latest advances in MIS surgical techniques.
