Beverly, Massachusetts (PRWEB) January 08, 2013
SpineFrontier, Inc., a medical device company focused on developing less exposure surgery (LES) technologies, announced today that it has released it’s newly designed anterior cervical plate, Invue Max.The Invue Max Anterior Cervical Plate System, is the latest technology from SpineFrontier, Inc designed with one goal in mind: Fixation of the spine that minimizes both tissue and anatomy disruption.Founder and CEO Kingsley R. Chin, M.D. touts the system as the next step of surgeon initiated innovation, saying, “The Invue Max lives up to the name. This plate provides maximum view of the disc space and endplate after the plate is placed. This feature allows the surgeon to correctly place screws through the edge of the endplate to be farthest away from the cephalad disc space. Once the plate is secured the surgeon can pour DBMPure particulate DBM graft over the plate to fill the disc space for circumferential interbody fusion. This is yet another example of the SpineFrontier surgeons driving their own development.”
“Many of my patients were done on an outpatient basis or only stayed in the hospital overnight after using these new and innovative technologies,” said Chin. “I am now able to move away from traditional treatments and perform surgeries that are easier, take less time, result in less blood loss, less radiation exposure to the patients, less, if any, disruption of the normal tissues, and less chance of patients developing problems at the adjacent level that would require additional surgery in the future.”Dr. Chin is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and trained at the Harvard Hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is a board certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon who completed a fellowship specializing in spinal surgery at Case Western Reserve University under the mentorship of Henry H. Bohlman, M.D. Dr. Chin has published extensively, holds multiple patents, edited textbooks, lectured worldwide on spine surgery, and was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Spine Surgery at University of Pennsylvania Medical School from 2003 to 2007. He founded and currently runs the Institute for Modern and Innovative Surgery in South Florida.
