S4 MIS Cannulated Pedicle Screw System is designed engineered to maximize stability of construct and provide easy implantation. The extended tabs increase rod capture range of motion and the patented interlocking thread design minimizes splaying of the screw body. The S4 efficiently transfers energy throughout the construct, maximizing rod grip while maintaining an exceptionally small implant volume. S4 offers access to a unique set of specialty instruments to reduce spondylolisthesis and fractures. The S4 Element MIS system’s unique design and complementary endoscope technology is designed to increase direct surgical site visibility during minimally invasive procedures and minimize your exposure to risk.
- Increased visibility for greater accuracy
- Simple approach to MIS procedures
- Easy transition to MIS surgery
About MIS
The trend in spine surgery for many procedures has been moving toward minimally invasive approaches. These include spine surgery for lumbar fusion, deformity surgery, cervical surgery and sacroiliac joint fusion. The benefits of minimally invasive spine surgery (MIS) include decreased pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery. However, there is a difficult learning curve for surgeons when mastering MIS procedures. Increasing familiarity with MIS techniques creates more options for surgeons treating spine conditions with the potential to decrease surgical complications. The goal of this conference is to update neurological and orthopedic surgeons, as well as allied health professionals on the latest advances in MIS surgical techniques.
