Revere Deformity

April 14, 2018 By SPINEMarketGroup

The REVERE® Deformity Vertebral Derotation Instruments aid in deformity correction maneuvers. Designed to be simple and stable, these instruments firmly interface with the screw heads and may be linked together with ease to perform axial derotation. The instruments are designed with full reduction capabilities and are cannulated to allow for introduction of locking caps and final tightening instruments.

  • Modular: Interchangeable lower sleeves allow the instruments to accommodate either the REVERE® 5.5mm or 6.35mm rod based system
  • Coupling Ability: Instruments can be coupled together to perform single level segmental or multi-level axial derotation
  • Reduction Capability: Rod can be captured above the screw heads and sequentially reduced, up to 22mm of rod reduction
  • Fully Cannulated: Allows for introduction of the locking cap and final tightening instruments

REVERE® is a thoracolumbar stabilization system with a full range of polyaxial screws, rods and connectors. REVERE provides convenience and ease of use in surgery to treat a variety of posterior lumbar conditions with simplicity.

  • Non-threaded Locking Mechanism:Eliminates cross-threading and may help reduce operative time due to faster insertion of locking caps
  • Optimal Screw Design: Top-loading screw design with a double lead thread (up to 7.5mm diameter) to enable rapid insertion, and ±30° screw angulation for intraoperative adaptability
  • Low Profile: Less prominence and minimal run-on-rod simplifies assembly in common lumbar procedures

About Spinal Deformity

Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine that can occur in any age group. Scoliosis is a coronal plane (i.e. side to side) deformity occurring in children, adolescents, and adults. Symptoms vary with age of onset and severity of the curvature; cosmetic problems including sitting imbalance, breathing difficulty or delayed development is common findings in infants and young children. A rib hump, pelvic or shoulder height imbalance tend to common in the adolescent group. Intractable back pain, sciatica, leg weakness or numbness and gait difficulty are common reasons for surgical correction in adults.

Kyphosis is seen when a person’s spinal balance has moved too far forward to allow the spine to effectively carry the body weight without progressive deformity, pain or neurologic loss of function. Patients typically walk in a forward flexed posture being unable to stand up straight. This condition can also occur along with scoliosis causing Kyphoscoliosis.
