PSIF system

PSIF system allows the surgeon to take a familiar posterior approach to fusing the SI Joint.  Unlike the challenging lateral approach to fixate the SI Joint, PSIF is a safe and extremely reproducible surgical procedure.

The PSIF system uses allograft bone, which included much discussion over many hours before determining final allograft bone design. Surgeon partners with vast experience fusing the SI Joint settled on a design that would maximize surface coverage for fusion, while maintaining the ease of insertion feature. The PSIF allograft bone design also allows for additional orthobiologics to be inserted within the holes, increasing chances for fusion.

Benefits:

Safe:  Many of the SI Joint fusion procedures on the market today fixate the SI Joint from a challenging lateral approach.  Why risk damaging delicate neural structures with this approach when you can fuse the SI Joint from a much safer, posterior approach?

Reproducible:  PSIF allows for a familiar prone patient position and identifiable landmarks for initial incision. Once down to the SI Joint, the retractor cannula allows for consistent allograph bone placement within the SI Joint.

Simple:  Most other SI Joint fusion products on the market require three implants to fuse the SI Joint, where PSIF only requires one to two implants.

True Fusion:  The lateral approach to the SI Joint fixates the joint with multiple implants that go across the joint, while the PSIF approach is a true fusion approach with allograft bone that goes into the SI Joint.
