Orthofix has announced the appointment of Brad Niemann to a management role focusing on operations in the company’s stimulation business.
Mr Niemann has been named senior vice-president for commercial operations for the medical technology manufacturer’s global spine business unit, a role that will leverage his 14 years of experience and success in the industry.
Robert Vaters, president and chief executive officer of Orthofix, welcomed the addition of a proven business leader to the company’s management team.
“With his leadership and expertise we will strengthen our ability to execute our business strategy of returning to growth in our regenerative stimulation business,” he added.
Last week, Orthofix announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2011, highlighting a five percent reported year-on-year sales growth.
The company generated $151.5 million (95 million pounds) in revenue over the three months, thanks to improving demand for its orthopaedics and sports medicine products, as well as its expansion in international territories.
