Medacta Group is an industrial group mainly active in the field of production and sales of medical products.Its history begins in 1958, when Bieffe Biochimici Firenze was founded by Dr. Francesco Siccardi Senior.This group has enjoyed a prosperous growth thanks to cutting edge technology, a world-wide expansion and excellent commercial results.The Group has expanded its activity all over the world, specialising in the field of dialysis, urology and i.v. perfusion.In 1997 the Siccardi family sold a big part of the activity to Baxter Group i.e. the sterile fluids product group.Subsequently the Siccardi family re-invested part of its capital into the field of orthopaedics and so founded Medacta® International SA. http://www.medacta.com
