In biomechanically justified cases, there may be a need for additional stabilization, then disc prosthesis can be used with the ”Madagascar” cervical plate. This leads to simultaneous intervertebral and vertebral stabilization of one segment of the cervical spine (anterior surgical approach). The anatomic and low profile cervical plate is equipped with a central hole for the connecting thread in the middle and two holes for bone screws on the sides providing better stabilization of the implant(s).
