LEESBURG, Va., Jun 05, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — K2M, Inc., a spinal device company developing innovative solutions for the treatment of complex spinal pathologies and minimally invasive procedures, today announced the debut of the MESA(R) Small Stature Spinal System, a O4.5 mm line extension of the company’s revolutionary low profile, zero torque family of products.
MESA Small Stature is a significant advancement in the complex spine market for K2M, marking the company’s first pedicle screw available for small stature patients. The top-loading system features Zero-Torque Technology(R), applying zero torsional loads, or twisting forces, to the spine when locking the screw. With a new enhanced dual lead thread and light ergonomic instrumentation, it is poised to address the most difficult correction maneuvers.
