Intelligent Implant Systems, LLC, a recognized innovator in the treatment of spine disorders and the development of spinal implant technology, announced today that the Active™ Bone Screw was cleared by the FDA for sale in the United States. The Active™ Bone Screw has a unique expanding thread allowing for up to 1mm in expansion for implantation into bone during orthopaedic surgery when the surgeon determines the need for additional fixation.
