Hive Interbody Fusion PLIF

May 12, 2018 By SPINEMarketGroup

Utilizing high-definition 3D printing, HiveTM Interbody Fusion Devices all feature a Soft Titanium® lattice core with HD’s 4 evolutionary technologies. The HiveTM family includes multiple footprint and lordosis options for each surgical approach.

  • PLIF SoftTitanium NanoHive VIDEO ANIMATION

Benefits:

  • Reduced Stiffness: Hive Interbody Fusion feature the only porous core on the market that experiences strain under normal biomechanical loads. Our patented soft titanium lattice achieves the same stiffness as PEEK while its unmatched durability eliminates the need for stress-shielding structures at the nose, sides or tail of the implant.
  • Ingrowth: Hide Interbodies are over 70% porous by volume. They are designed to provide a more stable fusion by allowing bone to spread laterally through porous walls.Within the porous core are lumens and cavities engineered to aid in both bony attachment and angiogenesis.
  • Ongrowth: Hive interbodies are finished with a propietary surface treatment to make them an active participant in the fusion process. They feature roughness as well as a highly engineered oxide surface layer both of which have been shown to support osteogenesis.
  • Imaging: Due to the unique mechanical properties of their lattice core Hive interbodies could be designed with an extremely low core density. Combined with the lack of additional titanium supports at the nose, tail or sides of the implant, the porous core leads to imaging characteristics that are unparallelled by other titanium interbodies.
