EOS is Aurora Spine’s modern, minimally invasive TLIF interbody fusion system. Manufactured out of PEEK, each cage is precision coated with TiNano®, Aurora Spine’s titanium plasma spray coating.
Features:
- Aurora Spine cages feature a self-distracting nose, as well as teeth on the inferior and superior surfaces to help prevent retropulsion and migration. Graft windows have been designed to maximize the space for bone materials to help promote integration and fusion.
- Cages are available in various footprints and heights to accommodate variations in patient anatomy.
- TiNano is Aurora Spine’s unique Titanium Plasma Spray coating on PEEK Interbody implants. Interbody cages featuring TiNano are designed to have a friction fit. The TiNano coating will add approximately 0.25mm thickness to the overall height of the cage.
About TLIF
A transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is performed to remove a portion of a disc that is the source of back or leg pain. Bone graft is used to fuse the spinal vertebrae after the disc is removed. TLIF provides fusion of the front and back of the lumbar spine. The front portion of the spine, called the anterior column, is stabilized by the interbody spacer and bone graft. The back portion, or posterior column, is locked in place with pedicle screws, rods and additional bone graft, alongside the backs of the vertebra.
