The Elite™ Expandable Interbody Fusion System represents the next generation of expandable technology. Its unique design minimizes both neural retraction and insertion force, accommodates a larger graft channel than many competitive expandable cages, and provides controlled expansion to restore disc height, potentially providing indirect decompression. When paired with Incite Cortical Fibers, Elite’s clinical advantages promote fusion and quick recovery while conserving patient anatomy.
Benefits:
- Minimal Impaction: Tapered distal nose and contracted height eases insertion, minimizing the potential of endplate damage
- Minimal Retraction:Contracted insertion height and narrow footprint minimizes neural retraction and may reduce the potential of neural damage
- Controlled Expansion:The expansion mechanism locks the implant at any point in the expansion range. The distractive force during expansion is designed to restore anatomic height and may provide indirect decompression
- Optimal Through-Growth:Large graft chamber with low-profile drive mechanism maximizes bone graft volume spanning endplate to endplate
About Expandable Cages
Expandable interbody cages allow surgeons to go through a small corridor and change the geometry of the cage to correspond to what the patient’s spine requires. These implants may help protect a patient’s nerve roots and other structures in the area near the cage or along the corridor through which they are implanted. Sometimes can be implanted with a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
About Spineology
Spineology Inc., is the innovator in anatomy-conserving spine surgery. Spineology was founded by Dr. Stephen Kuslich, a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery and the inventor of the company’s OptiMesh technology. Since our inception we have embraced surgeon-driven innovative design. Our robust product portfolio of next-generation interbody, fixation, and access systems is designed to conserve bone, nerve, and muscle tissue. We are committed to increasing procedural efficiency, reducing post-operative pain, and accelerating patient recovery.https://www.spineology.com
