Atlas Spine Announces FDA Clearance of its HiJAK Expandable Lateral Lumbar Interbody System

December 10, 2024 By SPINEMarketGroup

JUPITER, FL, December 10, 2024 — Atlas Spine, Inc., a spinal implant company based in Jupiter Florida, announced today they have received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for the HiJAK Expandable Lateral Lumbar Interbody System.

Atlas is answering the evolving market needs of lateral fusion procedures with the introduction of HiJAK LLIF. Leveraging their clinically proven expandable technology, HiJAK LLIF is the latest addition to Atlas’ growing expandable interbody device portfolio. Designed with both integrated fixation and without, and options which gain up to 30 degrees of angulation, the system provides surgeons the opportunity to adjust the implant intra-operatively, to “tailor fit” each patient’s specific needs. The systemscapabilities significantly aid in achieving optimal segmental lordosis and restoring the spine to its natural balance.

“Atlas is on an aggressive development pathway toward broadening its expandable technology platform, and thisaddition is an important step forward for our growth. The clinical success we have experienced since introducing the market’s first true expandable cervical interbody gives us great confidence as we continue to introduce our future expandableproduct lines.” says Atlas’ CEO/CTO, Matt Baynham.
