A-SPINE Acquired by United Orthopedic Corporation.Mr. Jason Lin CEO of UOC elected Chairman of the Board.David Chang President of A-SPINE

The board of United Orthopedic Corporation agreed to acquire A-Spine Asia Co., ltd. for $20 Million US Dollars aiming to ignite sales in spinal implants and instruments. A-Spine Asia will merge with a subsidiary of United Orthopedic from Q2, 2017.Mr. Jason Lin, Chairman and CEO of UOC has been elected as Chairman of the BOD of A-SPINE.David Chang is appointed as the President of A-SPINE and one of the director of the BOD.

Currently, United is the only company which is capable of in house R&D, manufacture and sales in the field of high-tech medical device. It is also the first company in Asia obtains FDA, CE and CFDA certification. United has been selling its products to more than thirty countries. Sales of United in 2016 are 44 million US dollars, and the Gross Margin reached 70%. It represents almost the same interest level as the leading international corporations.

A-Spine Asia has been known for branding products of spine in Taiwan domestic market. Their branding product has been selling over 15 years, and owns 20 percent of the Taiwan domestic market share in spine field. Sales of A-Spine in 2016 are 11 million US dollars. Net profit after tax is 1.4 million US dollar. With paid-in capital 3.2 million US dollar, EPS 4.27.

With A-Spine Asia, which already has registered certificate in China, United can expend the sales in China along with their joint venture, Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical quickly. Not only can A-Spine Asia complete the product line of United, but together economies of scale can be achieved. With subsidiaries in Europe, Japan set up in end of 2016, and the Kaohsiung factory ready for mass production in Q3, 2017 would be a massive expending year for United.
