Founded in December of 2009, Genesys Spine’s mission was to bring a suite of medical implants and instruments with novel characteristics into a mature spinal fusion market. Since that time, Genesys has released four new FDA cleared product lines with several other products in
various stages of the design and development cycle. Genesys has also developed several proprietary instruments to aid in the use of its products. All of Genesys’ inaugural products, including our system specific instruments, have garnered very positive feedback from the marketplace. Our implants, with their proprietary features, all remain within existing parameters for today’s current reimbursement codes.
Genesys Spine’s flagship product, the TiLock Pedicle Screw System, was introduced in August of 2010 and immediately received excellent reviews from the surgeon community for its ease of use and intuitive characteristics. The company’s second device, the Apache PEEK Interbody Fusion Device, was introduced in December 2011 and includes PLIF, TLIF, ALIF, Cervical and Vertebral Body Replacement devices. The Apache System was also very well received and added a second FDA cleared product line to the Genesys Spine portfolio within a 12-month timeframe. In July of 2012, Genesys Spine did a complete launch of the Helios ACP cervical plating system. This product has a unique locking mechanism that resists screw backout and screw counter-rotation with no additional steps for the surgeon to engage.
